Nasdaq Commodities welcomes Lietuvos energijos gamyba as new Market Maker for EPAD RIGA

Nasdaq Commodities is pleased to welcome Lietuvos energijos gamyba as new Market Maker for the Latvian Electricity Price Area Differential, EPAD RIGA, contracts.
 
Juozas Bartlingas, CEO for Lietuvos energijos gamyba, said: “We believe that by becoming a Market Maker we can increase liquidity and transparency of the market allowing other traders to execute their sale and purchase orders at market prices. We take it as an opportunity to further develop and improve the electricity market in Lithuania and Latvia that will benefit every electricity trader – including those who are only starting to consider involvement in the Lithuanian and Latvian markets. The new financial instrument will promote competition and improve electricity price offers for all market participants, including households in Lithuania and Latvia.”
