Initiated selection of an independent member of the Board of Ignitis Renewables
An international green energy company Ignitis Group has announced that it is looking for an independent member of the Board of Ignitis Renewables for a new term on office. Candidates for the position are welcome to apply until 27 August.
The Board of Ignitis Renewables, green energy company that manages subsidiary companies in the Baltic states and Poland, is combined of three members: two representatives delegated by AB “Ignitis grupė”, the shareholder of the company, and one independent member of the Board.
Candidates for the independent Board member position should have experience in the development of renewable energy and in developing these capacities in different parts of the world, as well as experience in setting up a renewable energy platform, managing joint-ventures companies and partners, etc. All the requirements for the candidates to the position of an independent member of the Board can be found in the job advertisement. “Ambitious renewable energy projects of Ignitis Renewables in the Baltics and Poland are strategically important to Ignitis Group. It is estimated that by 2030 the installed capacity of green generation projects managed by the Group will reach 4.0 GW. We hope that the independent member who will join the Board of the company will actively contribute, using their knowledge and experience, towards further effective operation of the company and development of new projects”, says the Chair of the Board Jonas Rimavičius.
The selected candidate would be appointed to the Board of the company after the end of term of the office of the current Board on 3 January 2023. The selection process for the position of the independent member of the Board of Ignitis Renewables will be conducted with the partner - the executive and management search and recruitment agency J. Friisberg & Partners.
The current members of Ignitis Renewables Board are Jonas Rimavičius, Member of the Management Board and CFO at Ignitis Group, Vidmantas Salietis, Member of Management Board of Ignitis Group and Head of Group Commerce and Peter Overgaard, CEO of an international energy solutions company Danstoker Group.
