Financing Strategy

The goal of Ignitis Group's financing strategy is to ensure the security of financing and monetary resources of the Group's companies by managing monetary resources and financial liabilities in such a way as to ensure the continuity of the existing Group's activities and to create opportunities for its development.

The Group's long-term financing portfolio consists of debt securities and long-term loans from commercial and investment banks. The Group uses credit lines to ensure short-term liquidity.

The Group enters into financing transactions only with reliable financial institutions with a credit rating of at least A- for foreign currency lending (according to the equivalent of Standard & Poor's or other international rating agencies). One such institution, the European Investment Bank (EIB), has provided EUR 190 million loan to finance the construction of a cogeneration power plant in Vilnius.
